On 19-Feb-2018 we organised an event where we presented information about the online course, demonstrated its structure and gave guidance about the registration process to the community of teachers who intended to take part in the experiment.
The event was hosted by SZÁMALK-Szalézi Secondary School in Budapest. The majority of the participants were teachers from all around Hungary, but headmasters and other professionals also attended.
After the welcome speech by the hosting institution, a presentation was held by Dr. habil. János Győri (Eötvös Loránd University, Faculty of Education and Psychology) titled Flipped teaching, Flipped learning - old method in a new cover?
Ildikó Dr. Sediviné Balassa and Ildikó Babócsy, representatives of the project partner SZÁMALK-Szalézi Vocational School, had a thorough presentation about how to implement the flipped model in vocational education.
Mária Hartyányi, Managing Director of the project coordinator iTStudy Hungary, introduced the online course, and guided the participants through the process of flipping a class from planning to assessment and feedback. The e-learning platform was also demonstrated to the participants.
In the afternoon a guided debate and discussion was held about the benefits and challenges of the flipped model - pro and contra statements were discussed and evaluated by the attendees.
